About Barbara Kirst:
 
Barbara Kirst lives and works in Menlo Park, California. Currently her focus is on constructing images that explore her relationship to place. Often, in the mixed media pieces she creates, there are references to environment. Themes include natural cycles (lunar, solar, seasonal) and meditations on human perception. What does it mean to be living in our time? What are the fragile intentions and connections that bind us all together?
