Artist Statement:

 

I am continually pulled to the edges of nature, particularly from a distant viewpoint — the way the hills and tree lines converge on the horizon, and the shapes that are formed by those intersections. But I also find unexpected beauty in the city (where I work): an abstract formed by torn lettering and crumbled paint on a building wall, or the charcoal and black texture of worn street pavement.
